Ratan inaugurates Public Library, lays foundation stone of new school building

Agartala Nov 19: Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday inaugurated the Kanchanpur Public Library in presence of Minister of Fishery, Prem Kumar Reang.

For past 32 years, the public library was operating in a temporary rented house. Today, the well-furnished pucca building of Kanchanpur Public Library built near Kanchanpur Hospital Road was inaugurated.

Minister Ratan Lal Nath in his address said, “The library stores the heartbeat of the history of human civilization for hundreds of years, the continuous history of the progress of civilization. Libraries are absolutely essential for spreading a healthy culture”.He also expressed immense happiness to inaugurate the newly constructed building of Kanchanpur Public Library today.

“After 32 long years of, the institution got its own concrete building today. Where till now only books were given and received, now separate sections for children, women and senior citizens and career guidance services are going to be started”, he added.Besides, the minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of new school building of Durgaram Reang Para HS School, in Dasda, Tripura.In a lively interaction with the students, the minister advised the students to focus on their studies and work hard for a successful career.
