The Bagma Agri Producer Company Limited (BAPCL), sponsored by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), has started its journey with a bank account at the Bagma branch of Tripura Gramin Bank as a loan recovery agent. Over time, BAPCL has transformed into the first Farmers Producer Organisation (FPO)-based company in the state, and has been actively involved in financial literacy initiatives under the Money Wise project, in collaboration with NABARD and Punjab National Bank.

During his recent visit to the BAPCL office, the Chairman has reviewed various activities undertaken by the organization, including fishery, dairy, marketing stalls, and other agri-based operations. He has been accompanied by Jeet Bhattacharya, Manager and Marketing Head of Tripura Gramin Bank, Payel Saha, Regional Manager for South Tripura District, and Subir Das, Branch Head of Bagma Branch.

Sudip Majumder, Managing Director of BAPCL, has assured that the company has planned to continue financial literacy and other developmental activities in partnership with Tripura Gramin Bank. These efforts aim to promote the agricultural sector by utilizing government-backed banking schemes for the benefit of farmers in Tripura.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Tripura has likely confirmed his upcoming visit to the BAPCL office to observe firsthand the initiatives taken by the company to support farmers from input provision to marketing of agricultural produce.
