Agartala, 18th June 2025: Srinagar Police Station staff achieved a major breakthrough yesterday evening by seizing 100 kilograms of dry ganja from a residence in the Jamtali Muslim Para area.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team comprising Srinagar Police and TSR personnel under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Dilip Debbarma raided the house of one Liton Mia. During the operation, two Syntax tanks filled with ganja were recovered and Mia was taken into custody.
Following the seizure, a case was registered under the NDPS Act at Srinagar Police Station, and intensive interrogation of the accused is currently underway. Sources confirmed that Amtali SDPO promptly reached the police station to oversee developments.
Speaking late last night, the Amtali SDPO confirmed the total weight of the recovered contraband at approximately 100 kg, with an estimated market value of Rs 12 lakh. He further stated that the accused would be produced in court this afternoon.
