Agartala, 9th April 2024:   In a heartbreaking incident just before the festive occasion of Eid, two families in the Sonamura Bejimara area have lost their homes to a devastating fire. The residences of Habu Mia, a local rickshaw driver, and Jasim Mia, a mason, were engulfed in flames on Tuesday.

Panic ensued as family members noticed the blaze and raised an alarm. Firefighters were quick to respond and arrived at the scene to tackle the inferno. Despite their efforts, the houses were completely destroyed. Preliminary investigations suggest an electrical short circuit as the cause of the fire.

The disaster has left both families without shelter, and the new clothes purchased for Eid have turned to ash. The community is in shock as the calamity has brought immense sorrow to Habu Mia and Jasim Mia’s families, casting a shadow over the festive spirit in the area.
