3-tier Panchayat elections expected in early August, Ram Prasad gears up with ‘Padayatra’ at Suryamaninagar

Agartala, 27th June 2024 :   The 3-tier Panchayat elections are anticipated to commence in the first week of August, pending successful proceedings with the ruling party reportedly holding a significant lead over its opposition. On Thursday, at Booth No. 53 of the Suryamaninagar assembly constituency, BJP party activists and supporters rallied in a spirited march.

The procession was graced by Assembly’s Deputy Speaker and local MLA Ramprasad Paul marked the launch of a Jal Jeevan Mission project before commencing the day’s padayatra. This event, the fourth in a series across Suryamaninagar provided MLA Pal an opportunity to engage directly with constituents, addressing their concerns and aspirations.

MLA Ramprasad Pal emphasized the community’s overall security while acknowledging existing challenges in infrastructure such as roads, drains, drinking water, and electricity. He assured swift resolutions to these issues, promising accelerated development in response to local feedback.

The padayatra strategically aligned with the impending panchayat elections, witnessed a robust turnout of BJP supporters, local residents, and curious onlookers, underscoring the political momentum building in the region ahead of the polls.
