Accident averted after blaze on transformer near Jagannath Jew Temple

Agartala, 27th April 2026:   Panic gripped residents and pedestrians today after a sudden fire broke out in a transformer near Jagannath Jew Temple in the city. Locals reported seeing flames and smoke erupting unexpectedly from the transformer, causing alarm in the busy locality.

Local residents quickly alerted the Fire Department, and firefighters rushed to the scene. Their swift action brought the blaze under control within a short time, preventing it from spreading further.

The incident, taking place on one of the city’s crowded roads, raised fears of a major accident. However, thanks to the prompt response of the fire service, the situation was contained and passersby narrowly escaped harm.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire
