Acclaimed filmmaker Birat’s work ‘The Unfortunate Land’ gains recognition at 10th Goa Short Film Festival

Agartala, 30th October 2023: In a remarkable feat for the budding talent of Tripura, filmmaker Birat Roy Choudhury’s latest creation, “The Unfortunate Land,” has garnered a coveted spot in the official selection of the prestigious 10th Goa Short Film Festival.

The selection committee, comprising distinguished members of the film industry, unanimously hailed Choudhury’s work for its exceptional storytelling and thought-provoking narrative.

Hailing from  Agartala, Birat Roy Choudhury has already etched his name in the annals of Indian cinema with his acclaimed documentary, “A Communist The Scam,” which has received a slew of awards and critical acclaim.

“The Unfortunate Land” promises to be a poignant portrayal of a hitherto untold tale, delving into the intricacies of a society grappling with adversity.
