Assam and UP CM likely to arrive in Tripura on August 27

Agartala, 4th August 2024:   The Chief Ministers of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, are expected to visit Tripura on August 27 to inaugurate the Shanti Kali Temple in Barkathal village, located in the Mohanpur Sub-division of Tripura’s West District.

Former Member of Parliament Rebati Tripura informed reporters about a review meeting held today, chaired by Padma Shri awardee and Tripura’s spiritual leader Chittaranjan Maharaj, to discuss the inauguration of the Shanti Kali Temple.

“Today, we conducted a meeting at the Barkathal Shanti Kali Temple. The newly constructed temple will be inaugurated on August 27. The review meeting, chaired by Chittaranjan Maharaj, included my participation along with Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma and Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury. We also reviewed preparations for the arrival of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha,” he stated.

Rebati Tripura mentioned that during the Ram Mandir consecration, Chittaranjan Maharaj had extended an invitation to the UP Chief Minister to visit Tripura.

“Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has confirmed his attendance, and we are awaiting confirmation from UP CM Yogi Adityanath. We are hopeful he will also join,” he added.
