Agartala, 30th June 2026: Assam Rifles organised an interactive Weapon and Equipment Display for NCC cadets participating in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-50 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, Agartala, on Tuesday. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by over 500 NCC cadets from the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC, providing them with a unique opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the equipment and capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.
The display featured a wide range of infantry weapons and military equipment, including assault rifles, machine guns, mortars, rocket launchers and other specialised operational equipment. Assam Rifles personnel interacted closely with the cadets, explaining the role, handling, capabilities and employment of each system in a safe and informative manner. The cadets also witnessed demonstrations and were encouraged to ask questions, making the session highly engaging and educational.
The initiative aimed to inspire the youth towards nation-building, foster awareness about the Armed Forces, and motivate aspiring cadets to pursue careers in the defence services. The cadets expressed immense enthusiasm and appreciation for the opportunity to interact with Assam Rifles personnel and experience military equipment at close quarters.
Such outreach programmes reaffirm Assam Rifles’ commitment towards nurturing patriotism, strengthening civil-military relations and encouraging the youth to contribute meaningfully towards the nation’s security and development.
