Beloved teacher Anamika Majumder passes away after struggle with heart disease

Agartala, 12th June 2024:  In a tragic turn of events, Anamika Majumder, a cherished educator known for her dedication to her students has passed away following a battle with heart disease. The news of her demise has left the Udaipur sub-division in mourning.

Anamika Majumder, who served as the Headmistress of South Manu Bazar High School in Sabroom was known for her commitment to education and her students’ well-being. Her untimely death came on Wednesday morning as she succumbed to complications from heart disease.

“She was not just a teacher, but a guiding light for many,” expressed a grief-stricken colleague. “Her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her.”

Majumder’s routine dedication to her work was evident as she would depart for school at 5 am every morning. On the day of her passing, she was preparing for another day of teaching when she suddenly felt chest pain. She was rushed to a nearby private hospital, but tragically, she could not be revived.

Prior to her role at Manu Bazar High School, Majumder had served as the head teacher of Palatana High School and had been a mathematics educator at Chandrapur Higher Secondary School, Udaipur for many years. Her impact extended beyond borders, with many of her students now residing abroad.

Though her roots lay in the Udaipur coal field, Majumder had made Agartala her home for several years, primarily to support her son’s medical studies. Her husband Chinmoy Majumdar also a dedicated educator currently serves as a head teacher.

The news of Anamika Majumder’s passing has sent shockwaves through the educational community, with many struggling to come to terms with the loss of such a beloved figure. As tributes pour in, her legacy as a passionate educator and compassionate mentor will endure in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
