Agartala, 31st May 2024: In a heartwarming display of community support, former Chief Minister and MP Biplab Kumar Deb extended a helping hand to Arjun Tripura, a day laborer from Radhanagar village, whose two-year-old child suffered severe burns after accidentally falling into a hot pan while playing on April 7.
The tragic incident left the child with burns on the face and other parts of the body. Arjun Tripura, who supports his family of five on a daily wage, was faced with the daunting challenge of securing immediate and effective medical treatment for his injured child.
Upon learning about the accident, Biplab Kumar Deb swiftly responded by sending a representative to Shantir Bazar District Hospital. On his behalf, the representative handed over 50,000 rupees to the Tripura family to cover the child’s medical expenses. Thanks to this timely intervention, the child received the necessary treatment and has now fully recovered, returning to a healthy and active life.
In a gesture of gratitude and foresight, Arjun Tripura, along with other villagers, planted rubber tree saplings on his land using the remaining funds from the donation. He expressed that this initiative, made possible by Biplab Kumar Deb’s assistance, aims to secure a better future for his child.
Biplab Kumar Deb’s recent actions have underscored his ongoing commitment to social and humanitarian causes. Just days before aiding the Tripura family, Deb arranged for a prosthetic leg for a person who had lost a limb in a road accident. His consistent efforts to support individuals in need have set a commendable example of leadership and compassion.
