Agartala, 11th March 2024: In a heartbreaking turn of events, Abhijit Chakma, a student of Bodhjong Boys School, faced a crushing setback as he missed the secondary math exam at Umakanta Academy English Medium School today. Despite his attempts to explain his tardiness, he was not allowed to appear for the crucial examination.
Abhijit, hailing from Manu, cited his mother’s sudden illness as the reason behind his delayed arrival at the exam center. The secondary math test, scheduled from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm, became an unfortunate ordeal for Abhijit, who claimed that a train delay was the primary cause of his late arrival.
According to Abhijit, he reached the Umakanta Academy English Medium School at around 10.42-10.43 am, missing the initial minutes of the examination. Despite his plea to be allowed to take the test, the exam officials stood firm in their decision, leaving the distraught student without the opportunity to prove his knowledge in the subject.
Abhijit Chakma expressed his anguish, stating that he is mentally broken by the incident. The combination of his mother’s illness and the unforeseen train delay has left him devastated and uncertain about the impact this incident may have on his academic record.
School authorities have not yet commented on the situation, and the Bodhjong Boys School administration is expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding Abhijit’s late arrival and subsequent denial of the opportunity to take the exam.
