Border Haat at Srinagar in Sabroom reopened after 3 years

Agartala, May 09, 2023: After almost three years, one of the Border Haat was re-opened on Tuesday. Buyers and sellers of both India and Bangladesh are happy with the re-opening of Border Haat at Srinagar in Sabroom.

It is learned that India-Bangladesh Border Haat in Srinagar of Sabroom sub-division was closed about three years back due to the outbreak of COVID pandemic. After the pandemic subsided, the situation became normal but this Border Haat was not started again.

Demands have been made time and again from different quarters to start this Border Haat. Thereafter, negotiations started between India and Bangladesh at the administrative level. The Border Haat was finally reopened from Tuesday after discussions at the administrative level between the two countries.

On this day, buyers and sellers from both India and Bangladesh gathered at Border Haat. On this day, traders from Bangladesh come to Border Haat with different types of fish and dried fish. On the other hand, the traders of India also set up shop in Border Haat with various goods.

A customer from Bangladesh who came to Border Haat said that this market was closed for a long time due to Corona. The re-opening of Border Haat now will benefit everyone. Buyers and sellers of both countries can come to the Border Haat. Customers can purchase the items they want. The bond of brotherhood between the people of both the countries will be strong.

On this day, through strict security measures, buyers and sellers of both countries are allowed to enter Border Haat according to the rules. The re-opening of border market in Srinagar has made the buyers and sellers of both India and Bangladesh happy.
