Agartala, April 14, 2023: Dr Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary is celebrated on Friday through various programs across the state.
On this occasion, a colorful procession was organized by the students of various schools under the initiative of SC Welfare Department. The rally started in front of Rabindra Centenary Building and ended at Ujjayant Palace.
At the beginning of the rally, SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das told reporters that on the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of India, everyone is remembering him with respect. His contribution in strengthening democratic governance in the country through constitution is undeniable.
Dr BR Ambedkar was a politician, jurist and philosopher all in one. His contribution in building the country will always be remembered with respect by the countrymen.
AMC Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta, SC Welfare Department Special Secretary Abhishek Chandra, Director Santosh Das and others also participated in the rally.
