Agartala, 7th December 2024: A daring robbery took place at the house of a Safai Karmi in Bishalgarh on Friday evening. A gang of thieves made away with two pairs of earrings, 10 ‘bhori’ of silver and Rs 20,000 in cash. The victim has filed a complaint with the Bishalgarh police station.
It is reported that the Safai Karmi had gone out for shopping when the robbery took place. Taking advantage of the empty house, the thieves broke in and stole the valuables.
The Safai Karmi upon returning home found the locks of both doors broken and the house ransacked. “I came back from the market and found everything in ruins. The thieves took two pairs of earrings, 10 ‘bhori’ of silver, and Rs 20,000. I have reported the incident to the police for investigation,” he said.
The police have begun an investigation into the robbery, aiming to track down the culprits and recover the stolen items. The incident has raised concerns about safety and security in the area.
