Agartala, 2nd March 2025: A severe fire broke out last night in Kumarghat’s Dhar Market, resulting in damage worth lakhs of rupees.According to local sources, the fire is believed to have originated in the furniture warehouse of businessman Neelmani Deb.
Upon noticing the flames, locals immediately alerted the fire department. Due to the intensity of the fire, several valuable items in the warehouse were completely destroyed. However, the firefighters from both Kumarghat and Kanchanbari fire stations jointly managed to bring the fire under control.
Locals believe that if the firefighters had not controlled the blaze in time, the extent of the damage could have been much greater.
