Agartala, 2nd April 2026: The Office of the Returning Officer for 9-Halahali-Asharambari (ST) and 12-Ramchandraghat (ST) District Council Constituencies under Khowai Sub-Division has issued an urgent memorandum revising the last date for submission of Form-22 for postal ballot papers in connection with the upcoming ADC Election 2026.
According to the memorandum issued by Returning Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nirmal Kumar, the revised deadline for submission of Form-22 for 9-Halahali-Asharambari (ST) DCC and 12-Ramchandraghat (ST) DCC has been extended till April 6, 2026, up to 3:00 PM.
For all other district constituencies, the deadline remains unchanged at April 4, 2026, up to 3:00 PM.
The memorandum was issued in reference to earlier instructions from the State Election Commission regarding submission of Form-22 for postal ballot papers by officials and personnel engaged in election duty.
All concerned officials and election personnel have been directed to strictly adhere to the revised timeline. The administration has described the matter as election urgent and circulated the notice to district election authorities, police administration, heads of offices, and political parties for immediate compliance.
