Free eye care camp: Navin Sangha’s humanitarian initiative

Date:

Agartala, 27th April 2026:   Staying true to its motto “First with Everyone”, Navin Sangha Social Development Organization organized a free eye care camp, marking another milestone in its community service journey. Founded in 1983, the organization’s guiding principles—freedom, public service, peace, unity, progress, compassion, and respect—were vividly reflected in the day’s program.

The camp was held at PM Shri Chhotakhil SB School hall, where a large number of villagers gathered to seek treatment for eye-related ailments. Renowned ophthalmologists Dr. Gaurav Choudhury and Dr. Rajesh Das from Ashwini Netralaya conducted examinations and provided necessary medical care. Patients diagnosed with cataracts were offered free surgery in Agartala, with arrangements made for safe travel and return—an exemplary act of compassion and service.

The initiative was graced by former Sat Chand Block Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Anil Majumdar, club president Haradhan Das, and other distinguished guests.

Navin Sangha’s commitment to standing beside rural communities through such humanitarian efforts has drawn widespread appreciation, shining a brighter light of humanity across society.
