High-level administrative meeting held at Karimatila BOP to strengthen border peace

Agartala, 25th October 2025:   A high-level administrative meeting was convened at the Karimatila Border Outpost (BOP) of the Border Security Force (BSF) to reinforce peace and security across the border-adjacent areas under Srinagar Outpost in South Tripura’s Sabroom subdivision.

The meeting brought together key officials including Sabroom Sub-Divisional Police Officer Nityananda Sarkar, BSF Company Commandant B.L. Meena, local panchayat representatives, and prominent community members.

Discussions focused on maintaining a peaceful environment in the border villages of Srinagar, Madhabnagar, Samarganj, Karimatila, Merupara, and Amlighat. Emphasis was placed on enhancing surveillance along the border, fostering coordination with local residents, and ensuring timely exchange of intelligence between BSF and state police forces.

Speaking to the media personnel here, SDPO Nityananda Sarkar affirmed the administration’s commitment to safeguarding border communities. “We are vigilant to ensure that residents can live safely and without fear. Joint patrols by BSF and police are being conducted regularly, and suspicious activities are being closely monitored,” he said. Sarkar also stressed the importance of maintaining regular communication with elected representatives to swiftly address local issues.

Officials present expressed optimism that the meeting would further strengthen mutual cooperation between the administration, border security forces, and the public, paving the way for sustained peace and security in the region.
