ISKCON’s 11th annual Rath Yatra to begin on June 27; Global celebrations across 121 countries

Agartala, 25th June 2025:  The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is set to launch its 11th annual Rath Yatra on June 27, with festivities taking place in 121 countries simultaneously including India. In Agartala, the grand procession will commence from the Purbasha premises drawing spiritual devotees and dignitaries alike.

Announcing the details at a press conference held here today, ISKCON Tripura Regional Secretary Bhakti Vijay Bhagwat Swami, a resident of Mayapur Ashram shared that this year’s Agartala event would be graced by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha along with Cabinet Ministers Sushanta Chowdhury and Tinku Roy. On the day of the procession, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb are also expected to join the celebrations.

“The Rath Yatra is not merely a religious procession, it carries the universal message of peace, welfare and brotherhood,” said Bhakti Vijay Bhagwat Swami. “We pray that by the grace of Sri Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra Maa, the people of Tripura and the greater human society may attain holistic prosperity.”

The Rath Yatra Mahotsav is one of ISKCON’s most widely celebrated festivals, with observances in over 100 countries worldwide. Organizers believe the Agartala edition will serve as a vibrant confluence of joy, devotion and spirituality uniting people across all walks of life.
