Agartala, 19th June 2024: Dipak Majumder, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), took the oath as the newly elected MLA of the 7-Ramnagar Assembly Constituency.
The swearing-in ceremony for Majumder took place in the lobby of the Tripura Legislative Assembly. The Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Bishwabandhu Sen, administered the oath to the new legislator.
Expressing his gratitude, Majumder told the media, “I am elated to begin this new chapter in my political career. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the people of the 7-Ramnagar Assembly constituency for their trust and support. Our government and party are committed to the state’s development, and my primary focus will be on advancing the development of the 7-Ramnagar Assembly constituency and the state as a whole.”
The ceremony was attended by Assembly Deputy Speaker Ramprasad Pal, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Assembly Chief Whip Kalyani Saha Roy, and other cabinet members and MLAs.
