Agartala, 11th September 2024: The Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program, aimed at addressing the grievances of the people of Tripura, continues to provide relief to those in need. In the 31st session held on Wednesday, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha met with citizens from various parts of the state at his official residence to listen to their appeals, with many seeking medical assistance.
Among the visitors, Anup Ghosh from East Pratapgarh sought help for his two-year-old daughter, who has been suffering from pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) since birth. Anup, a day laborer, has been struggling to cover both her medical expenses and the family’s daily needs. After reviewing the child’s medical documents, the Chief Minister instructed Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital, to take immediate action. Additionally, he directed Achintya Kilikdar, Deputy Commissioner of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department, to explore further avenues of assistance for the family.
Chandan Majumder from Gandacherra in Dhalai district approached the Chief Minister for help in treating his wife, who has been battling breast cancer for the past year and a half. As a newspaper hawker, Chandan has been struggling to manage both his wife’s medical treatment and household expenses. Dr. Saha reviewed the medical documents and directed Dr. S. Debbarma, Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Regional Cancer Center, to take necessary steps to assist with her treatment.
Prasenjit Das, a young man with 80% disability from East Jogendra Nagar, sought aid for complications from Elephantiasis Lymphedema in his right leg, a condition for which he has been unable to afford proper treatment. After reviewing his case, the Chief Minister immediately instructed Dr. Shankar Chakraborty to ensure the required medical care is provided.
Other individuals, including Subrata Das from Kabiraj Tila, Chandrima Nandi Majumder from Chandrapur, Mita Saha from Banamalipur, and Jhumur Saha from SD Chaumuhani, also met the Chief Minister and were assured of medical assistance.
The Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program continues to play a vital role in addressing the medical needs of the state’s underprivileged. Present at the event were Dr. Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary to the Chief Minister; Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Health Department; Achintya Kilikdar, Deputy Commissioner of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department; Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital; Dr. S. Debbarma, Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Regional Cancer Center, and other officials.
