During the inspection, the minister acknowledged that members of the tribal community in Tuikorm have long been pressing for several key infrastructure and livelihood improvements.

Their major demands include: Paving the unsealed road connecting Tuikorm to the Assam-Agartala National Highway; Establishing a nursery for betel nut and fruit trees in the area; and Addressing the acute drinking water shortage and upgrading other basic amenities.
