Agartala, 26th March 2026:   MLA Nayan Sarkar visited the village of Bajalghat today to inspect the roof casting of a new open community shed, a project funded by the MLA Area Development Fund to fulfill a long-standing demand from the residents of Taltala Gram Panchayat. Accompanied by engineers from the Rural Development (RD) Department and local community members, the visit aimed to ensure the quality and timely progress of the infrastructure intended to serve as a hub for local cultural and social gatherings.

The construction of the open community shed marks the culmination of years of requests from the local population. Residents had frequently voiced the need for a dedicated space to host community events, citing a lack of sheltered public infrastructure in the Bajalghat area.

During the inspection, MLA Sarkar engaged with the site engineers to review the technical aspects of the roof casting. He noted that the project is a high priority for his administration, as it directly addresses the social needs of the Taltala Gram Panchayat.

“The people of this area have waited a long time for this facility,” Sarkar stated while addressing those gathered at the site. “I am pleased to see the work progressing well. We remain committed to the overall development of Bamutia and will continue to initiate projects that improve the quality of life for our citizens.”

Local residents expressed their satisfaction with the progress, noting that the shed will provide a versatile space for various village activities once completed. Following the inspection, the MLA assured the community that further developmental works under the RD department are being planned to address other infrastructure gaps in the region.
