Agartala, June 01, 2023: Highlighting the successful nine years in service of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik and MP of 2-East Tripura parliamentary constituency Rebati Tripura addressed two separate press conferences at the BJP district headquarters of Gomati and Unakoti districts, respectively on Thursday.
In a press conference at Udaipur on Thursday, MoS Bhoumik said “Before 2014, we, from ordinary citizens to all kinds of businessmen, workers, youths, did not have any faith in the government. The government we knew for ten years was a remote control government, a family ran the government and the prime minister and every day some new scam scheme came out. He got a familiarity with the government that the basic needs of people are far from our corruption.”
“At that moment when a situation like darkness has been created in the whole country, at the time of the general election of India in 2014, the current prime minister of the country has called to the whole country and to the people that he will give us corruption free India, corruption free country. Relying on the above, this is the first time since 1948 that BJP-led government with a single majority has been given by the citizens of my country and Prime Minister is saying that every section of the people, starting from the common farmers, laborers, have trusted him with the faith that they have supported and blessed him with.”
Meanwhile, MP Rebati Tripura in a press conference said many political parties had formed government after independence, but the nine years of Modi’s leadership has seen unprecedented progress. “Prior to the formation of the government led by PM Modi, the Prime Minister along with many members of the cabinet were jailed for corruption during the previous government. Earlier it was a shame to go abroad and identify as an Indian. From such a situation, the government for the development of good governance has been formed. This government is working for common people, external and internal security. The peace of the country has now come through various agreements.”
“Currently, the development work is going on at a fast pace. When the whole world is at a standstill during the Corona pandemic. The economy of various countries went down. India was then able to sustain its economy. Currently, India has emerged as the fifth largest economy. In the nine years of the Modi government, there has been no complaint against a single minister. As corruption has stopped, so has development. Everything from house to gas, electricity, water has been provided to those who are in the lowest economic level across the country”, Tripura said.
Sharing the statistics of development in different fields, MP said “A total of 11 crore 12 lakh toilets have been provided in the country. The country had 39 percent toilets before 2014. Construction of 100 percent toilets in nine years till 2023 under Modiji’s leadership is being done today. In Jal Jeevan Mission across the country, 12 crore water connections have been given and many works have been completed. Arrangements have been made to provide gas connection to the homes of over a few crore people across the country. 80 crore people have been given food security. Vaccination has been arranged to save people during Corona. Janavasdhi centers have been opened all over the country thinking about the people of the country. Arrangements have been made to supply medicines at low cost. No one has died of starvation in this country during the Corona pandemic. Farmers have worked even during the Corona pandemic. At present many food grains are provided free of charge.”
“After the independence of the country before 2014 there were 641 medical colleges in the country. 700 new medical colleges have been created in the nine years of the current government. The present Prime Minister Modi ji sits wherever he goes on foreign soil today. It has never been seen before that the head of state of any state bows to the feet of the head of state of another state. All state capitals are connected with 150 cities of the country through G-20. India’s culture and food habits have been showcased at the World Darbar. Our only aim is to develop and develop the poor people. We are working in that direction”, MP Tripura told reporters.
