Agartala, 31st July 2024: A wave of panic has swept through the Sonaichari Bindamatila area of Belonia sub-division as villagers report alarming health issues allegedly linked to a Talisman. Complaints have surfaced about villagers experiencing shrinking private parts leading to the expulsion of three individuals accused of causing the problem through the use of a Talisman with charms and amulets.
The expelled individuals identified as Kalinga Tripura, Krishnamohan Tripura and Braja Tripura were accused of practicing tantra mantra with amulets and sand. The incident has created a sensation in the area with villagers divided over the cause and solution.
Local authorities including Belonia Additional SDM Asish Biswas and DCM Sanjay Shil along with police rushed to the scene around Wednesday noon to investigate the claims and speak with residents. The officials have assured the villagers that Janjati doctors will be sent to the area to address the health concerns and dispel any superstitions.
Despite initial resistance, the villagers have agreed to seek treatment at Belonia Hospital. According to local sources, two youths have already died and several others are reportedly affected by the same condition. The villagers have vowed not to allow the accused individuals back into the area.
The administration is now investigating the root cause of the mysterious ailment, aiming to provide a scientific explanation and appropriate medical intervention. This incident raises questions about the persistence of superstitions and the need for rational thinking in the digital age.
