Pecharthal market to get modern two-storey facility soon: Santana Chakma

Agartala, 1ST June 2026:   A long-standing demand of traders and residents of Pecharthal and adjoining areas is set to be fulfilled, with the Tripura Government announcing the construction of a modern two-storey market stall at Pecharthal. The initiative is being undertaken by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.

Industries & Commerce Minister Santana Chakma personally inspected the proposed site on Monday, accompanied by senior government officials. She stated, “This project is a significant step toward improving local trade infrastructure. From site selection to the preliminary blueprint, every detail has been carefully reviewed. I am delighted to share that construction work will commence very soon.”

The minister emphasized that the new facility will not only benefit traders but also enhance convenience for the general public, marking a major boost for the region’s economic activity.
