Agartala, December 09, 2022: With the initiative of BJP state committee, ‘Jharkhand Day’ was celebrated at ‘Brahmakunda’ area in Simna assembly constituency with the tea-garden workers where party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik, ST Morcha national president Samir Oraon and others were present.
Speaking at the programme, BJP state president Bhattacharjee said “Jharkhand was recognized as a separate state after separating from Bihar in 2000. This success has come to the state after a long struggle. This program is organized for the people of Jharkhand, especially those living in the tea plantation areas of the present Tripura state, and to pay tribute to Jharkhand.”
“On this day, the people of the tea garden dominated areas and others from various assemblies of the western district are present in large numbers”, he added.
