Agartala, 7th May 2024 : Preparations are in full swing at Rabindra Kanan to celebrate the birthday of the eminent poet Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. Born on 25 Baisakh of 1268 (year 1861) in the illustrious Tagore family of Jorasanko, Kolkata, Tagore’s legacy continues to shine brightly in the hearts and minds of Bengalis.
As tradition dictates, Rabindra Kanan will once again be adorned for this special occasion. The Kabi Pranam program, organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs will take place in Tripura. At 6 am, a serene morning program will commence at Rabindra Kanan. Attendees will pay their respects by offering wreaths to the poet’s portrait. The day will also feature enchanting Rabindra dance, soul-stirring poetry recitations, and melodious music, celebrating the timeless contributions of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore.
