Agartala, August 19: In a commendable effort to promote the noble cause of blood donation, a prominent social organization orchestrated a blood donation camp at Kamini Kumar School in Dhaleshwar, the capital city.

The event, which took place on Sunday, garnered widespread attention and participation from distinguished individuals, including philanthropist Rajib Bhattacharjee, Mayor Dipak Majumder, lawyer Asmita Banik, and school principal Kishore Datta.

Addressing the gathering, the renowned philanthropist Bhattacharjee underscored India’s remarkable economic ascent, placing it firmly in the fifth position globally. He attributed this achievement to the anti-corruption initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the country’s steady progress under his leadership. Bhattacharjee also extended this progress to the state, recognizing the parallel development.

However, he did not shy away from acknowledging a pressing challenge facing the state – the menace of drug addiction. Bhattacharjee expressed his concern about certain elements in society misleading the youth towards destructive habits. He called upon everyone to shoulder the responsibility of eradicating addiction from society, emphasizing the urgent need for a drug-free Tripura.

The blood donation camp witnessed a significant turnout of donors, demonstrating the community’s dedication to contributing to a noble cause. Following the event, Bhattacharjee and other distinguished guests visited the camp to personally express their appreciation and gratitude to the selfless blood donors.

This blood donation camp not only served as a platform for altruistic acts but also as a forum to address critical societal issues, with a shared commitment to building a better future for Tripura.
