Agartala, 24th January 2024: Ahead of Lok Sabha election, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Wednesday participated in a ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ with women self-help groups and NGOs at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yuva Awaas here. He praised their work and said that they are the backbone of the party.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many steps to empower women and increase their income. He said that the ‘Shakti Bandan’ workshop, which was held on Wednesday, was part of the party’s initiative to motivate and support women. He added that similar workshops will be held at the district and mandal levels soon.
He also urged the women to campaign for the BJP and ensure its victory in the two Lok Sabha seats in the state. He said that the party will launch its election program with their participation.
The workshop was also attended by Minister Tinku Roy, BJP state vice-president Papia Datta and Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder among others.
