Agartala, 26th April 2025: Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath held a significant meeting with Union Power Minister Manohar Lal today, focusing on the modernization of Tripura’s power system.
Speaking after the meeting, Nath stated, “The Union Minister has assured that the central government will provide all possible assistance for the overall development of Tripura’s power infrastructure.”
The meeting was part of the North Eastern Power Management discussions, aimed at addressing the region’s energy challenges and opportunities.
During his visit to Gangtok, Nath also met Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. In a gesture of cultural goodwill, Nath presented Tamang with a portrait featuring Tripura’s traditional Risa and the Mata Tripura Sundari temples.
“On behalf of the people of Tripura, I was honored to welcome Sikkim’s esteemed Chief Minister with this token of our heritage,” Nath remarked.
The Tripura Power Minister’s visit underscores the collaborative efforts between northeastern states and the central government to enhance the region’s power sector.
