Agartala, 26th April 2025: SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das has voiced strong condemnation of the ongoing attacks on Hindu religious institutions in Tripura, calling for unity and vigilance among Hindus.
“The patience and tolerance of Hindus have already been stretched beyond their limits,” Das stated, urging those with extremist ideologies not to test the community’s resolve.
Expressing concern over the repeated targeting of Hindu institutions and individuals, Das warned of potential conspiracies that could lead to incidents reminiscent of those in Bangladesh.
“Such attacks on innocent Hindus and their places of worship are unacceptable. If given the chance, these fundamentalists may attempt to destabilize Tripura,” he said.
The minister emphasized the importance of solidarity among Hindus to counteract these threats, while also appealing to peace-loving Muslims to stand against extremist mindsets.
“Unity is crucial to halt this trend of terrorism. It is imperative that all communities work together to preserve harmony,” Das concluded.
