Agartala: January 08. The House of BJP Janajati Mandal’s president’s came under attack by alleged workers of TIPRA Motha yesterday late night. The incident took place in Harikanta village of Golagati Assembly constituency.
According to the details of the incident, miscreants attacked the house of Mandal Janajati Morcha president Samir Debbarma in Harikanta para of Golaghati assembly constituency late on Saturday night and vandalized the house along with the bikes and scooty.
Sources said the Janajati Morcha Mandal president Samir Debbarma somehow survived the attack of miscreants. District and mandal level Janajati Morcha leaders along with area MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma rushed to the spot of the incident today morning. The police of Takarjala police station also rushed to the spot. The legislator of the area demanded a proper investigation of the incident and strict punishment to the culprits. There is intense tension in the area following this incident. On the other hand Tipra Motha party blames the current ruling party for the incident.
