School students blockade road protesting transfers of teacher

Agartala: July 25. School students blocked the road protesting the transfer of teachers today. It is known that today in the morning, as soon as the sixth to twelfth class students came to the school, they came to know that their school’s history teacher Kamal Hossain has been transferred to another place. After that, students of sixth to twelfth standard got angry and blocked the second road of Kadamtala-Tarakpur.

Their demand is that history teacher Kamal Hossain cannot be transferred, otherwise they will continue the movement indefinitely.

They said there are only 13 teachers in their school. In the meantime, if he is transferred, the school will not have a history- teacher.

They agitating students said that when one teacher is transferred, three another teachers are being transferred due to which children from their school cannot be among the top ten. They also demanded that the school does not have a canteen for mid-day meals, no sufficient seating capacity in the cafeteria and no sports ground. The department should arrange these immediately. It is said that despite the long siege, no official went to the spot.
