Agartala, 5th March 2025: ‘Tamalinir Chhaya’, a social and cultural organization in Dharmanagar celebrated its sixth foundation day at Maharshi Dayananda Arsh Gurukul in West Panisagar. The event was attended by advisory board members Ajanta Chowdhury and Kalpana Mallick, executive committee members including Tapati Deb, Anamika Chowdhury Bhattacharya, Sangita Chowdhury, Sejuti Bhattacharya, Sangita Datta, Kakoli Rauth, Sweta Deb, Amita Nath, Abhijit Debnath and Debajit Chowdhury as well as young members Debashrita, Ayushi and Sanchayita.
Since its inception, ‘Tamalinir Chhaya’ has marked its foundation day by engaging in social activities. The organization alternates its celebrations between internal and external venues every year. Last year, it organized a blood donation camp at its own premises. This year, the event focused on distributing educational materials to the students of Maharshi Dayananda Arsh Gurukul.
The Gurukul’s head along with her students showcased various artistic performances, which deeply moved the members of ‘Tamalinir Chhaya’. The organization has consistently worked to instill a sense of social responsibility in students while excelling in cultural activities such as dance, music, yoga, table and painting.
Over the years, students from ‘Tamalinir Chhaya’ have achieved impressive results in both cultural performances and examinations. The organization has gradually established itself as a significant cultural institution in Dharmanagar, thanks to its dedicated members, skilled trainers and talented students.
