Agartala, 10th November 2023:  In a determined display of solidarity, Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) passed aspirant of 2022 gathered at the Teacher Recruitment Board Tripura (TRBT) office on Friday demanding immediate recruitment. The aspirants, fueled by the anticipation of contributing to the education sector, expressed their frustration over the prolonged delay in the appointment of graduates.

The Director of the Elementary Education Department shed light on the situation, revealing a staggering 3500 vacancies in Tet-1 and Tet-2. In response, the TET passers questioned the apparent neglect of their recruitment despite the significant number of available positions. The Education Department acknowledged the acute shortage of teachers in the state’s schools but emphasized a cautious approach to the recruitment process.

Undeterred by the explanation, the TET aspirants demanded the immediate appointment of the 360 individuals who successfully passed the TET in 2022. They argued that their skills and qualifications could effectively address the pressing need for educators in the state. The aspirants expressed concern that the delay in appointments is exacerbating the shortage of teachers in schools.

The job aspirants issued a stern warning of a larger movement if their demands for prompt appointments are not met. They emphasized their commitment to pursuing the cause until their concerns are adequately addressed.
