Agartala, 24th June 2025: In yet another incident of theft, miscreants targeted the Madhupur Veterinary Hospital located in the Kamalasagar assembly constituency escaping with a water pump machine late last night. The theft came to light this morning when hospital staff discovered the equipment missing and promptly lodged a complaint with Madhupur Police Station.
According to reports, the water pump had been installed only a few months ago to support the hospital’s daily operations. The culprits allegedly dismantled and removed the pump along with its connecting pipes during the night.
This is not the first time the facility has fallen victim to theft. In a prior incident, thieves had broken into the hospital and stolen a significant quantity of vaccines. The recurring nature of these crimes has sparked concerns among both staff and local residents.
Locals suspect that a group of unruly youths, allegedly involved in substance abuse during nighttime hours, may be behind the act. Local members believe that a thorough investigation by the police could quickly lead to arrests.
Meanwhile, thefts have been on the rise in surrounding areas, with recent reports including the theft of two cattle from a private residence in Madhupur.
