The event also marked the foundation day of the Youth Congress, celebrated alongside the historic remembrance.

Senior Congress leaders including Tripura Pradesh Congress President Asish Kumar Saha, MLAs Sudip Roy Barman and Gopal Chandra Roy, and Youth Congress President Neel Kamal Saha were present at the gathering.

Their legacy is our strength,” he said. However, he expressed concern over the current state of democracy, alleging that citizens’ rights are being eroded in independent India.
