Agartala, December 15: In a proactive move, the 9th Battalion of Tripura State Rifles (TSR) organized the Prayas program at Pilak Public School in Jolaibari, under the jurisdiction of Santirbazar sub-division on Friday.
The program, spearheaded by the 9th Battalion of TSR, focused on addressing the critical issue of drug abuse among the youth. Attendees engaged in discussions about safeguarding young individuals from the perils of drug consumption, emphasizing the potential harms associated with such behaviours. The event served as a platform for the 9th Battalion of TSR jawans to rally support for creating a drug-free environment in Tripura.
Additionally, the Prayas program delved into various aspects of preventing child marriage. Participants actively discussed strategies and initiatives to curb this societal challenge.
Among those present at the event were Army Naib Subedar Pintu Das from the TSR 9th Battalion, along with area social worker Pulak Bhowmik and other notable figures. The program, organized under the auspices of the TSR 9th Battalion army, aimed to raise awareness on crucial social issues and promote a collective effort towards building a safer and healthier community.
