Two injured in collision on national highway at Bagma

Agartala, 11th December 2024:   A collision between a VIP Maruti car and a scooty took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Kariamura area near the Bagma police outpost resulted in two injuries. The victims have been identified as Krishna Bhakti Jamatia Debbarma (46) and Sarya Debbarma (48).

It is reported that the VIP Maruti car with registration number TR08E-0216, traveling from Agartala to Udaipur collided with a scooty bearing registration number TR03K-8215 in the commercial shop area on the Agartala-Sabroom National Highway. The impact left both the rider and a female passenger on the scooty seriously injured. They were immediately shifted to the Gomati District Hospital by ambulance.

Eyewitnesses reported that the VIP Maruti car was speeding and that its occupants appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the accident. Following the collision, the driver and other passengers of the VIP car fled the scene. The two injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Gomati District Hospital.
