Leading Indian carrier IndiGo on Tuesday announced direct flights on Bangalore-Mauritius route with four weekly flights.
With this new route, Port Louis, Mauritius has become IndiGo’s second destination in Africa.
“The addition of this new destination not only caters to the growing demand in tourism but also plays a pivotal role in fostering trade, investment, and business collaborations in the Indian Ocean region,” the airline said in a statement.
Commenting on the new international service, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo said India and Mauritius share deep cultural, political, and economic ties, and these flights would further strengthen the bond.
“With the convenience of visa-on-arrival for Indian passport holders, this new route presents exciting prospects for both leisure as well as business.
