Lok Sabha Election: PM terms results as ‘historical feat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed the victory of NDA for third term as a ‘historical feat’ in India’s history and thanked the people for placing their faith in NDA.

“People have placed their faith in NDA, for a third consecutive time! This is a historical feat in India’s history” PM Modi said in a tweet on X.

“I bow to the Janata Janardan for this affection and assure them that we will continue the good work done in the last decade to keep fulfilling the aspirations of people. I also salute all our Karyakartas for their hard work. Words will never do justice to their exceptional efforts” he wrote.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated the people saying, “I bow down to the people of the country for giving NDA the opportunity to serve for the third consecutive time under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji”.

“The third consecutive victory has made it clear that the public’s trust is only with Modi ji” he added.

“This victory of NDA is the blessing of the people for the way Modi Ji has worked hard in the last 10 years to fulfill the dreams of the poor, women, backward, deprived and youth of the country. I congratulate Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji for this victory” Amit wrote in a series of tweets.

As of 7 pm, in a neck-and-neck fight, the NDA was leading in 293 seats, while the INDIA bloc was ahead in 232. The BJP on its own is falling short of the majority mark of 272. It is currently ahead in 239 seats, according to the Election Commission, reducing its 2019 tally, when it won 303 seats.
