Agartala, 12th August 2025:   In a spirited celebration ahead of India’s 79th Independence Day, the Tepania Block Development Office at Udaipur transformed into a canvas of creativity as officials swapped files for sketch pens in a unique “Har Ghar Tiranga” drawing competition.

Organized under the initiative of Block Development Officer Dibyashree Dasgupta, the event took place post office hours at 6 PM bringing together 35 staff members from head clerks to Group-D employees, who sat shoulder to shoulder on the floor sketching their interpretations of patriotism.

The atmosphere was reminiscent of the art fair in the film Taare Zameen Par, with Dasgupta playing a role akin to Ram Shankar Nikumbh encouraging expression over perfection. Participants, including Tepania Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Jharna Sarkar and Additional BDO Arjun Debnath, embraced the moment with childlike enthusiasm. Some misplaced pencils, others chased flying papers, but the joy of collective creativity prevailed.

The competition limited to block employees saw prizes awarded not only to the top three winners but also to every participant recognizing effort over outcome. Guests personally handed out the awards, adding warmth to the evening.
