Agartala, 23rd May 2024 : In a tragic incident, two youths were seriously injured in a high-speed bike accident in the Chelikhala Aralia Bari area under the jurisdiction of Bishalgarh police station. The victims, identified as Naimul Hossain and Bapan Mia, lost control of their bike while traveling at high speed, resulting in severe injuries.
Local residents, who witnessed the accident, immediately informed the Bishalgarh fire department. Responding swiftly, fire department personnel arrived at the scene and provided initial rescue efforts. The injured youths were promptly transported to the Bishalgarh Sub-Division Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Given the severity of their injuries, the on-duty doctors at Bishalgarh Sub-District Hospital administered first aid and subsequently referred Naimul Hossain and Bapan Mia to GB Hospital in the capital for advanced medical care.
In a concerning development, it has been alleged that the Bishalgarh police failed to visit the accident site despite being informed. Consequently, the police did not secure or recover the damaged bike from the scene, raising questions about the promptness of their response to such emergencies.
