Ratan Lal Nath unveils advanced market facility at Gandacherra, Urges youth to utilize land efficiently

Agartala, 28th February 2025:   The state government is committed to the development of villages, the poor, and farmers, stated Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath at the official inauguration ceremony of the new two-storey market in Gandachhara Bazar today.

The event, which marked the opening of the state-of-the-art market, was attended by notable figures including Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ratan Lal Nath, local MLA Nandita Debbarma Reang, and Dr. Phanibhushan Jamatiya, Director of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.

Minister Nath highlighted the significant investment in the market’s construction, stating, “Approximately 5 crore 66 lakh rupees have been spent on this project. The state government prioritizes farmers’ welfare, and we will be recruiting a large number of people in various posts within the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.”

Emphasizing the importance of utilizing all available land, he added, “No land should be left fallow. If paddy is not cultivated, other types of fruits or vegetables should be grown.”

Minister Nath also stressed the importance of transparency and cleanliness, urging the community to maintain the new market. He concluded the ceremony by handing over two power tillers to local beneficiaries, symbolizing the government’s ongoing support for farmers.
