Agartala, 8th October 22 : Tripura State Level Drug Disposal Committee headed by DIGP (Southern Range), Tripura destroyed huge quantities seized drugs.
In a press release Tripura Police said that after completing all legal formalities on October 7 and 8 all the drugs were destroyed. “During destruction total 9,123 Kgs dry ganja, 21,985 bottles of contraband Sough Syrup, 42,402 Nos. Yaba tablets and 78.4 gm Heroin had been destroyed. The approximate values of drugs destroyed are Rs.5.26 Crore”, police said.
Late one official said that following specific instruction from central government Tripura police has destroyed the seized narcotics.
