Agartala, 31st March 2025: A tragic road accident took place near the mosque in the Purba Bazar area of Dharmanagar, North Tripura, leaving a man critically injured. The incident took place today prompting swift action from the fire service personnel, who rushed to the scene to rescue the injured and admit him to the hospital.
The injured individual has been identified as Ranjit Sharma (50), a resident of Kailashahar. According to local sources, an unidentified vehicle struck him and fled the scene, leaving him lying on the roadside. He suffered severe head injuries and excessive bleeding after being thrown onto the road.
The incident caused a stir in the area. Police have since launched an investigation and are working to identify the vehicle and driver involved in the accident, locals reported.
