Agartala, 4th August 2024: Arunachal Pradesh IAS Commissioner Yashpal Garg visited the Unakoti site with his family today. He first arrived in Kailashahar and stayed at the Circuit House for a while before heading to Unakoti with his family, including his wife, Unakoti District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Chakma, DCM Moti Ranjan Debbarma, and others.
Garg was impressed by the beauty of Unakoti and said that people from other states visit various tourist destinations, but in Tripura, people come to visit Unakoti.
He mentioned that he had come to Agartala for a specific work but had visited Unakoti before arriving in the state.
Garg praised the administration for maintaining and preserving the Unakoti pilgrimage site. Local tour guide Rahul Pal provided detailed information about the site, and Garg expressed hope that more tourists would visit the area, centered around Unakoti.After visiting Unakoti, Garg is scheduled to leave for Agartala this afternoon.
