IPL 2024 final match live screening hosted by Techno India University, Tripura

Agartala, 27th May 2024:   Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT), successfully organized the live screening of the IPL 2024 Final Match between Kolkata Knight Riders & Sunrisers Hyderabad at Swami Vivekananda Stadium, Agartala yesterday. The event was organized as part of TIUT’s commitment to social engagement &contribution, aimed to foster community spirit and offer an exciting live cricket viewing experience to students and the local community.

It brought joy to many who otherwise could not have accessed the match on such a giant screen with family & friends. Thousands of people attended the screening, making it a truly joyous moment.The event was meticulously planned & executed by TIUT under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha, with support from the respected Principal of Techno College of Engineering Agartala, Dr. Dibakar Deb, who also graced the occasion.

The screening saw the presence of several esteemed guests who added to the grandeur of the occasion. Among the notable guests were the Chairperson of the Tripura Commission for Women, Jharna Debbarma; Member of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Tushar Kanti Bhattacharya and SDPO Sadar sub-division Dulal Chandra Datta. Among other notable guests were esteemed faculty members from Tripura University, College of Fisheries & officials from various institutes of Tripura. Their participation highlighted the event’s importance & the collaborative effort behind its success.

TIUT acknowledges the unwavering support from DM West district Dr Vishal Kumar; SP West district Dr Kiran Kumar K; SDPO New Capital Complex; Respected Secretary of Tripura Sports Council Sukanta Ghosh; OC of West PS; OC of East PS, Sanjit Sen, who was instrumental in organizing this program and extended full cooperation and support; and OC of New Capital Complex PS.

Reflecting on the event, Prof. Ratan Kumar Saha, Vice-Chancellor of TIUT stated, “We are delighted to see such enthusiastic participation from our students, faculty, and the local community. Our heartfelt thanks go to all our distinguished guests and everyone who contributed to making this event a resounding success. TIUT looks forward to organizing more such events that bring us together and foster a sense of unity and excitement in society.” He acknowledged the support and encouragement of the Chancellor, Satyam Roychowdhury in organizing this event. Additionally, Prof. Saha expressed sincere gratitude to the respected members of the press for their kind presence and their unwavering support.
